Reconstruction of railway tracks to the ports of Szczecin and Swinoujscie is nearing completion

PKP PLK plans to make investments in the amount of PLN 1.5 billion in the near future.
This is reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to nakolei.pl.
The transshipment capacity of railway stations in Swinoujscie and Szczecin will be increased.
Automation solutions for container, intermodal and railway terminals
The investment by Polish Railways will ensure the operation of longer and heavier trains of 750 meters in length with a load of 221 kN per axle. This will allow handling more freight wagons and containers. Freight warehouses will be handled faster and more efficiently.
The reloading time in the ports will be reduced to several tens of minutes
