Reconstruction of Railway Section Begins in Hungary

Reconstruction work has commenced on the railway section between Budapest and Győr in Hungary, as reported by the railway portal Railway Supply
Hungarian State Railways announced unscheduled infrastructure reconstruction work on the railway section between Budapest and Győr (the border with Austria).
Installation of Ballastless Reinforced Concrete Track Underway
The repair works will take place in several stages and continue until early December.
The first stage is planned from September 18 to October 26. Consequently, there may be delays for train No. 140/149 Zahony—Vienna, which includes direct sleeper cars Ukrzaliznytsia Kyiv—Vienna and Chop—Vienna: a 10-minute delay is expected in the direction of Vienna, and a 30-minute delay in the direction towards Vienna.
The repair works will not affect trains on the Mukachevo-Budapest and Chop-Zahony routes.
