Future Development of RDC Deutschland’s Railway Lines
In February 2022, Railroad Development acquired a 75% stake in Norddeutsche Eisenbahn Niebüll (NEG) from the National Railway Company of Luxembourg (CFL). With this acquisition, RDC Deutschland has become the largest private railway infrastructure owner in northern Germany, holding about 100 km of lines.
The company plans to grow freight transport and infrastructure to enhance transport capabilities in the region. The Lengerich depot will join RDC Deutschland’s other maintenance facilities in Niebüll (Schleswig-Holstein) and Vienna (Austria), providing train repair and servicing.
