Rajdhani Express Launch Connects Mizoram to Delhi After Six Years

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Mizoram’s first ever Rajdhani Express by connecting Sairang and the Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi. The new train service from September 19 reduces travel time and links Mizoram seamlessly with major junctions in Assam, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh.

The first journey was on September 13 when the train set off from Sairang at 10:00 hrs. It is expected to reach Delhi on September 15. Officials emphasized the point the connectivity is a milestone for Northeast railway development.

Weekly schedule and passenger facilities

After 19th September, the train shall run one a week as No. 20507/20508 from Sairang and Delhi. It shall leave Sairang each Friday evening. Return trips from Delhi shall leave Sundays.
