Railway Traffic Management System Maintenance

Alstom and Polskie Linie Kolejowe (PKP PLK) have signed a framework agreement for the supply of spare parts for the railway traffic management system provided by Alstom. The contract will be implemented until the end of 2027, as reported by the railway portal Railway Supply.
According to the contract, Alstom will be the supplier of spare parts for railway traffic management devices, including relays, point machines, level crossing signaling systems, and more.
Transition to Battery Trains in the Netherlands
The contract will enable continuous preventive and corrective maintenance of railway traffic management systems.
According to the press release, Alstom will also carry out other service projects for PKP PLK.
This includes preventive and repair services for computer devices installed throughout the Polish railway network.
The company is also responsible for maintaining trackside equipment for Railway Lines in Tarnowskie Góry, Opole, Krakow, Lodz, and Warsaw.

Alstom is one of the largest manufacturers of railway traffic management systems and devices in Europe.
It was the first in Poland to implement the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) Level 2 on most of the country’s main railway lines and in the Warsaw Metro Control Center.
In addition, the company has built 30 Centralized Traffic Control (CTC) systems, equipped over 200 stations with computer-based systems, and modernized more than 1700 level crossing signaling systems, as reported by the Alstom Group.
