On the morning of June 27, unidentified individuals detonated railway tracks in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The so-called head of the Crimean authorities, Sergey Aksenov, reported this in his Telegram channel, citing the railway magazine Railway Supply, as reported by Rail.insider.
According to him, the railway tracks in the Kirovsky district were damaged as a result of the explosion.
There were no casualties, and relevant services are currently working at the scene. The repair work is expected to take from 4 to 8 hours,” clarified the official.
According to the Telegram channel “Mash na volne,” the first carriage of a freight train derailed. “Passengers are being redirected through Vladislavivka and the village of Lenino. Two long-distance trains and two local trains are delayed,” the post stated.
Earlier, it was reported that an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) crashed onto the railway track in Crimea, resulting in the suspension of train traffic.
