Railway grain shipments from Russia to Kazakhstan have only been fulfilled to 21%
23.10.2023
Kazakhstan’s flour mills submitted requests to “Kazakhstan Railways” for the import of 274,000 tons of wheat from Russia in October 2023, this is reported by the railway transport news portal, Railway Supply.
So far, only 57,000 tons have arrived in the country this month. The main reason for this is the lack of timely payment for the grain by Kazakh flour mills.
In September 2023, 107,000 tons of wheat were imported from Russia to Kazakhstan.

Earlier, LogiStan reported that “Kazakhstan Railways” had rejected requests to import 151,000 tons of wheat from Russia.
Recall that in mid-October 2023, Astana imposed a six-month ban on the import of wheat into Kazakhstan by road and rail transport.
