Railway grain exports from Kazakhstan have increased by 2.6 times to China, including a 1.8-fold increase in container shipments, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

In 2023, Kazakhstan transported 2.1 million tons of grain to China by rail, as stated by Minister of Transport Marat Karabayev during a Senate session.

This is 1.3 million tons or 162.5% more than the previous year. Additionally, 1.4 million tons of grain were transported in containers, which is 0.63 million tons or 81.8% more than in 2022.
