Purchase of metro carriages for Mumbai

MMRDA has announced a new tender for the procurement of 108 metro carriages for the 6th line in Mumbai, with a cost of ₹20.65 billion ($250 million), this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
The tender also includes signaling and train control systems.
Storage of hydrogen fuel on the railway
This is the second tender for this line; the previous one was canceled due to non-compliance with the Central Vigilance Commission’s requirements.
Construction of the 6th line is 60% complete, and the project is expected to finish in November or December 2024, with a declared cost of ₹67.16 billion ($810 million).
The primary goal of the new line is to reduce road congestion and enhance public transportation accessibility.
