The lawsuit between two major American locomotive manufacturers has been registered in a Delaware court.

Progress Rail, a subsidiary of Caterpillar, alleges that Wabtec is abusing its dominant position in the market for mainline locomotives, control systems, and related services.

The ‘historic’ EU, Middle East, and India trade plan launched.

As part of the lawsuit, Progress Rail is demanding that Wabtec divest assets acquired from General Electric in 2019 for $11 billion. In addition, Progress Rail is seeking triple damages.

The primary focus of Progress Rail’s allegations is on segments related to modern locomotives compliant with Tier IV environmental standards and onboard control systems.
