Honolulu Construction Plans and Timeline

The City Center segment begins near the Middle Street Transit Center and runs east to the Ka‘ākaukukui (Civic Center) Station. Once completed, it will provide a backbone for mobility across central Honolulu.

Initial construction work includes drilling shafts for elevated guideway supports in Iwilei. Crews will operate weekdays and some Saturdays, balancing progress with community needs. Officials expect the project to remain on budget and on schedule.
