The Regio160 train, manufactured by Pesa, was involved in an accident during testing in Ghana
19.04.2024
Yesterday, on the first day of testing in Ghana, the Pesa diesel train collided with a KIA truck on the Tema-Mpakadan line, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Despite the emergency braking by the train driver, the train couldn’t avoid the collision, although no one on board was injured.
The front carriage sustained minor damages.
After the incident, the train proceeded to the depot in Tema, where engineers from the Polish manufacturer will repair it.
Ghanaian authorities will conduct their own investigation into the incident.

The first Regio160 train was delivered to the country at the beginning of the month, and the arrival of another one is expected soon.
Passenger services on this line are scheduled for May.
