Vande Bharat Express strengthens India’s transport network

The Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi, is scheduled to attend the opening ceremony of four different flight services between the Banaras-Khajuraho, Lucknow-Saharanpur, Firozpur-Delhi, and Ernakulam-Bengaluru air routes on November 8 in Varanasi.

The train from Banaras to Khajuraho will reduce the journey time by almost three hours, connecting the cities of Banaras, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Khajuraho, which was previously difficult due to the long distance between these locations.

The train will reduce the time by about an hour on the Lucknow-Saharanpur route, with better links to Haridwar via Roorkee. The train will be beneficial to the citizens of Sitapur, Bareilly, and Moradabad, as the faster train services promote investment in the areas.

Vande Bharat Express drives southern and northern growth

The Firozpur Delhi Vande Bharat Express will be able to cover the entire route in six hours and forty minutes, which will further improve the connection between the national capital and the major cities of Punjab, including Bathinda, Patiala, and others.

The service between Ernakulam in the southern Indian state of Kerala and Bengaluru in the state of Karnataka will reduce journey time by over two hours. The service will provide a faster and more comfortable journey between the economic centers of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka for working professionals, students, and tourists. The service will hence attract private investment due to the collaborative spirit generated between the southern technology cities.

The four corridors illustrate how the Vande Bharat Express service is pushing the transport system in the Indian subcontinent towards efficiency, sustainability, and inclusive growth. The new trains will help reduce traffic, save time, and also support the Indian government’s focus on carbon efficiency and high-speed transport solutions.
