“Kazakhstan Railways” had planned to send over 1.9 million tons of goods through the Saragash junction to the countries of Central Asia and Afghanistan by October 2023, including 670,000 tons of grain, as reported by the railway portal Railway Supply.
However, due to cargo shippers not providing their goods on time, the plan for railway freight transportation in this direction is only 50% complete.
The UK is abandoning the continuation of the HS2 project
“Nevertheless, a decision has been made to approve an additional volume of transportation through Uzbekistan, which amounts to 70,000 tons of grain cargo,” emphasizes the national railway carrier.
