PKP Intercity conducted a tender for the periodic maintenance at the 5th level of technical service and the 3rd level technical inspection of 40 passenger carriages, including Z1A, Z1B, and Z1B PRM, as reported by the railway portal Railway Supply.

The work will be carried out by PESA Mińsk Mazowiecki and H. Cegielski – Fabryka Pojazdów Szynowych.

The tender was divided into three parts:

– Part 1 – Modernization of 8 Z1A passenger carriages. These works will be performed by PESA Mińsk Mazowiecki Spółka Akcyjna, offering a tender price of 57,925,856.16 Polish zloty. The completion time is 60 calendar days per carriage, with a proposed warranty of 42 months.

– Part 2 – Modernization of 26 Z1B passenger carriages. These works will be carried out by H. Cegielski – Fabryka Pojazdów Szynowych sp z o.o., with a price of 184,844,400.00 Polish zloty.

– Part 3 – Modernization of six Z1B PRM passenger carriages adapted for the transportation of disabled individuals. These carriages will also be handled by H. Cegielski – Fabryka Pojazdów Szynowych sp. z o. o. from Poznań, offering a price of 45,599,743.26 Polish zloty.

The completion time for parts 2 and 3 of the work is 60 calendar days per carriage, with a proposed warranty of 48 months.

In addition to PESA Mińsk Mazowiecki and FPS, the tender also saw participation from the consortium Comprumum SA and Transtrain sp.z o.o.
