PKP Cargo agreed on the operation areas for Ukrainian grain carriers
04.06.2022
The Polish carrier PKP Cargo has agreed on several areas for the operation of grain carriers with rearrangements. This was announced by the representative of the company Stanislav Voytovich during an online meeting with representatives of Ukrzaliznytsia and shippers on May 26.
Note that the issue is related to the change of infrastructure in Poland. Therefore, it became necessary to coordinate the dimensions of the Ukrainian rolling stock for each route, informs the railway magazine Railway Supply.
As explained in Ukrzaliznytsia, the operation of grain carriers models 11-739, 19-752 and 19-3054 on the routes Yagodin-Gdansk, Yagodin-Szczecin, Mostiska II-Gdansk and Mostiska II-Szczecin has been coordinated.
During the meeting, it was noted that such decisions are relevant only for the carrier PKP Cargo. For other companies, the routes must be agreed with the Polish infrastructure operator PKP PLK separately, before carrying out transportation. Ukrzaliznytsia will coordinate it with Polish colleagues at the request of shippers.
As previously reported, the Hungarian carrier also agreed on the areas for the operation of Ukrainian wagons on bogies of the European gauge.
