Photos of the first Alstom Coradia Stream electric train for Romania have been published

Romania’s National Railway Reform Authority (ARF) shared the images on social media, announcing that the train is en route from the Polish city of Katowice and is expected to arrive in Romania tomorrow evening, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
Starting next week, operational tests are planned on public railway routes, covering a distance of 10,000 km as part of the trial run.

According to the contract signed in March 2022 and the option exercised in September of the same year, Alstom is obligated to deliver 37 interregional Coradia Stream trains.
The funding for this purchase will come from the state budget and European fund subsidies.
The six-car Coradia Stream electric train has a capacity for 350 passengers and can reach speeds of up to 160 km/h.
A notable feature is its digital passenger counting system.
