PESA and NEWAG have offered 160 diesel trains for Czech Railways

Three manufacturers have applied to participate in the Czech Railways tender for the supply of 160 diesel trains. There are two Polish manufacturers (Newag and Pesa Bydgoszcz) among them, reports railway magazine «Railway Supply» citing  Nakolei

USA: new grants for railway projects

The deadline for submission of proposals expired last week. According to Czech Railways, the total value of the contract will be approximately CZK 14.5 billion.

Czech Railways will not comment on the procedure until the end of the tender. At the moment the third manufacturer who presented its proposal last week is unknown. Siemens Mobility and Bombardier can be excluded from potential participants.
