Pesa delivered new trams for Silesia
PESA Bydgoszcz SA has completed the delivery of trams ordered by Tramwaje Śląskie SA under the contract dated June 29, 2018, informs railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to Nakolei Pl.

The basic order included the purchase of 35 low-floor railcars: 27 trams of the 2017N type (25 meters long) and 8 cars of the 2012N-10 type (32 meters long). The last of the shorter trams arrived in Katowice on 15 April, while the last of the longer trams was scheduled to arrive on 22 April.
The acquisition of 35 multi-section trams from PESA is a task that is part of a comprehensive project for the modernization and development of tram infrastructure in the Silesian-Zaglab metropolitan area, carried out by Tramwaje Śląskie SA, co-financed by the European Union. The contract value is about PLN 221 million.
