The first car of the Alstom automated train on rubber tires has been delivered to Denver Airport

Denver is implementing innovative transportation solutions with the receipt of the first car of the Alstom automated train.
The Innovia APM 300R automated train with an aluminum body is designed to serve the international airport.
Launched in 1995, this system connects the terminal to 3 concourses along a 2-kilometer line with 4 stations.
This year, Alstom will deliver 26 cars for $79 million, ordered in 2018 from Bombardier Transportation.
Despite a 2-year delivery delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it won’t hinder the launch of the new fleet in the summer. The airport plans to expand the fleet to 41 cars, replacing the outdated CX-100 trains released in 1995.
Denver Airport flexibly organizes transportation, considering passenger flow, and can handle up to 7 trains during peak times.
With the park expansion, there are plans to increase the number of trains to 8, providing a more efficient transportation system for passengers.
