Tatra-Yug has announced its intention to deliver a new tram to Odessa on a monthly basis.
It’s worth noting that a year ago, on December 16, a contract was signed between the municipal enterprise “Odesgorelektrotrans” and a consortium led by the Tatra-Yug company for the supply of 13 low-floor tram cars of the K1T306 model to Odessa.
The company, with production facilities at “Yuzhmash” in Dnipro, won the corresponding tender for the European Investment Bank (EIB) funded project “Urban Public Transport” back in 2021.
Although the tender originally specified the purchase of 12 trams, the winner proposed supplying one additional unit.
Kyiv was the first city in Ukraine to receive similar trams, ordering 20 units for its public transportation system.
