Turkey has begun the operation of domestically manufactured electric trains

Türasaş, the Turkish state producer, has released this electric train, which has started running on the Adapazarı-Gebze line, spanning 95.8 km, according to the railway magazine Railway Supply, citing Türasaş.

It makes five such trips in a single day. At the end of April, two five-car trains were handed over to the national carrier of Turkey after obtaining a certificate of compliance with TSI requirements.

Each trainset can accommodate up to 324 people and operates at a maximum speed of 160 km/h.
