The project includes two key railways: San Juan de Marcona – Andahuaylas and Lima – Ica. These initiatives aim to improve the country’s transportation infrastructure, reduce logistics costs, and decrease travel time for citizens.

This railway will pass through Ica, Arequipa, Ayacucho, and Apurímac, providing transport services to over 4 million people.
The project, which includes mixed freight and passenger services, is estimated to cost $8.16 billion.
The second line, Lima – Ica, will be 280 km long and feature 15 stations. This line is planned to handle both freight and passenger services, aiming to reduce road congestion and lower greenhouse gas emissions.
It will serve areas with a population ranging from 5.8 to 6.5 million people. The investment estimate for this project is $6.5 billion.
