A person found dead near Metra tracks in Libertyville prompted an investigation Friday, according to NBC Chicago.

A Metra spokesperson said outbound train 2131 was stopped at about 5:27 p.m. Friday near the Winchester Road crossing after a body on the tracks was reported. Metra later determined the man — whose age has not been released — was not struck by a train. The Lake County Coroner’s Office is conducting a death investigation.
