Wide corridors and ample luggage storage ensure convenience for all passengers. Additionally, bicycle spaces and catering areas create a more practical and enjoyable journey experience, meeting diverse commuter demands.
Sustainable Production of Oxygène Trains
Manufactured at CAF’s Reichshoffen facility in Alsace, the Oxygène Trains support sustainable rail development in France. The plant employs 740 workers and includes 130 engineers, guaranteeing high-quality production standards. With advanced testing facilities, CAF ensures compliance with national and European regulations.
Validation tests are currently underway at the Velim test track in the Czech Republic. Testing in France will begin in autumn 2025, followed by real-world trials in 2026 to finalize safety and performance standards before deployment.
The new order, valued at over €400 million, expands the previous 2019 agreement for 28 trains, supporting regional growth and modernizing rail infrastructure. Government funding for the purchase aligns with efforts to develop the TET network, enhancing connections between non-high-speed rail cities.
CAF’s Commitment to Sustainable Mobility
CAF continues to innovate by delivering trains focused on passenger comfort, eco-friendliness, and reliability. These developments support France’s vision for sustainable transportation, promoting efficiency and reducing environmental impacts.
This expansion highlights ongoing investments in rail infrastructure, improving accessibility and boosting economic growth across regions.
