About the 14D40 Engine:

  • Type: Two-stroke, V-shaped, 12 cylinders, 45° angle.
  • Power: 1470 kW (2000 hp).
  • Boost: Two-stage with a turbocharger.
  • Cooling: Water-cooled, direct-flow valve-slot scavenging.
  • RPM: Up to 880 rpm.

What’s Included in the Overhaul:

  1. Complete disassembly and inspection of all components: cylinder block, frame, oil pan, turbocharger.
  2. Replacement of worn parts (pistons, valves, bearings, etc.).
  3. Restoration of lubrication and cooling systems (checking the oil pan-reservoir, fixing leaks).
  4. Repair or replacement of the coupling for generator connection.
  5. Bench testing: monitoring oil pressure (2.2 kgf/cm²), water temperature (up to 95°C), and oil temperature (up to 75°C).
  6. Adjustment of automatic protection systems against overheating and pressure loss.
