The Poles want to introduce two trains to Kherson in Lviv Oblast: one from Sanok and the other from Przemyśl, this is reported by the railway transport news portal, Railway Supply.
Polish railway officials are in negotiations with their Ukrainian counterparts about opening the routes Sanok – Kherson and Przemyśl – Kherson.
Kazakhstan has increased its exports to Russia
This information was reported by European Pravda, citing Tomasz Strapagel, the director of the Polish railway operator SKPL.
“We are still in negotiations on this matter. We believe that two trains should run to Kherson: one from Sanok and another from Przemyśl. We have submitted the corresponding application to the administration of the Subcarpathian Voivodeship and Ukrzaliznytsia,” he said.
According to Tomasz Strapagel, the infrastructure for launching these routes is ready, as the tracks to Kherson in both directions have already been repaired.
However, he could not provide a specific date for the launch of the trains.
It’s worth noting that in February of this year, the Ministry of Infrastructure announced the repair of a 70 km railway track near the border with Poland on the sections of the border – Staryi Yarychiv – Kherson – Nyzhankovychi – border (line 102) and Kherson – Sambir.
