On January 8, two incidents occurred on the Russian Railways (RZhD) in Russia

In the evening, there was a derailment of freight train cars and a locomotive, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
The incident disrupted the movement of passenger trains on the Aleur-Bushuley section of the Zabaikalsk Railway.

Initially, it was reported that 27 cars derailed, but later clarification stated that there were 14 cars involved.
The incident affected the adjacent railway track. No injuries or environmental threats were reported.
Passenger trains No. 392 Chita-Blagoveshchensk and No. 2 Moscow-Vladivostok were halted.
The Federal Passenger Company announced that affected passengers would be provided with flights from Chita to Blagoveshchensk, Khabarovsk, and Vladivostok.
Additionally, on January 8, another incident was recorded in Russia: an explosion occurred near an oil depot in Nizhny Tagil.
The incident, near the San Donato station, involved empty railroad tanker cars, and no casualties were reported.
No derailment or damage to the railway tracks was detected.
It’s worth noting that earlier reports mentioned the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) organizing the sabotage of a fuel train in Russia.
