Port Muskogee issued a request for proposals in December 2024 to secure a five-year operator for rail switching services and infrastructure maintenance. After reviewing candidates, officials chose OmniTRAX for its strong rail experience and national reach.

Kimbra Scott, Executive Director of the port, emphasized the company’s value. “OmniTRAX brings the expertise and vision that support Muskogee’s long-term growth strategy,” she said. “Their network and industry focus help us better serve manufacturers and attract new investment.”

Through this partnership, the port aims to provide smarter, customer-driven freight solutions and strengthen its role as a logistics hub. The direct link to Union Pacific allows shippers to access national markets efficiently.

The agreement also gives Port Muskogee the ability to tailor rail services, reduce delivery times, and attract new industries seeking multimodal connections. The collaboration aligns with broader regional development plans.

OmniTRAX Adds Another Port Partnership to Its Network

This deal marks the fifth U.S. port partnership for OmniTRAX and highlights its continued expansion across key logistics corridors. The company’s hands-on management model and customer focus promise operational improvements at Muskogee.

With operations set to begin soon, both parties expect the new framework to deliver long-term value to businesses and strengthen Oklahoma’s position in the national freight landscape.
