Wabtec Locomotive Private (WLPL), a joint venture between Wabtec and Indian Railways (IR), signed a new agreement. This deal expands maintenance support for 250 Evolution locomotives, including major and minor repairs.

Additionally, the company organizes remote diagnostics and logistics to improve the efficiency of locomotive operations. This partnership strengthens ties between Wabtec and Indian Railways, fostering infrastructure development across the region.
Production Expansion to Support Evolution Locomotive Maintenance
In summer 2024, Wabtec, in collaboration with Indian Railways, opened its third service center in India. This facility focuses on maintaining Evolution locomotives, ensuring seamless operations across the network.
Moreover, in May 2024, the company began constructing a new plant in India. This facility will manufacture components and subsystems for rolling stock, supporting local production capabilities.
