Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia) will soon expand its fleet with new passenger cars. The company plans to put 66 cars into operation, which are currently being completed at Ukrainian factories, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

According to the Chairman of the Board, Yevhen Lyashchenko, the first cars will begin regular operations as early as this autumn, ensuring comfort and safety for passengers.

The new batch will include compartment cars, first-class (SV) cars, and four cars adapted for people with disabilities. There will also be sleeper cars, which remain popular among travelers.

All new cars are equipped with modern amenities that meet international standards. They feature air conditioning, vacuum toilets, baby changing tables, and high-quality adjustable lighting.

For passenger convenience, the cars are equipped with sockets, USB and Type-C ports, coffee machines, and surveillance systems.

The joint efforts of Ukrainian Railways and the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine are aimed at modernizing the passenger fleet.

Future plans include not only the purchase of new cars but also their modernization and the acquisition of modern high-speed trains that will ensure a high level of service and comfort for passengers.
