Container processing volumes at US ports have increased

Container processing volumes at US ports have significantly increased in the first quarter of 2024, according to data released by port administrations, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The most impressive result was recorded at the Port of Los Angeles, where container processing volume reached 2,380,503 TEUs, a 30% increase over last year.

Despite a slight decrease in March compared to February, this figure remains impressive.
The Port of Long Beach also saw an increase in volumes, albeit lower than in previous months of the year.
An interesting change is observed at ports in the state of Georgia on the Atlantic coast.
The Port of Savannah saw significant growth compared to last year but decreased compared to February.
However, imports are still growing, although the pace has slowed slightly.
Exports also demonstrate steady growth, indicating activity in US foreign trade.
