ÖBB focuses on digitalization and sustainable development

The Innsbruck center belongs to the long-term vision of ÖBB to create a chain of service centers across the country. The company actively applies digital technologies, robotic technologies, and automated diagnostics to digitalize processes and cut expenditure on operations.

These technologies reduce maintenance time as much as possible while also being able to foretell possible technical failures. This way, ÖBB reinforces passenger confidence and guarantees a generally high level of security for its whole network.

It also benefits the local economy: new employment and the expanding base of high technologies lure young professionals and open prospects for vocational training in railroad engineering.
