ÖBB Acquires Go-Ahead’s Railway Business in Germany

The Austrian national railway company has stated that the purchase will be an investment for its future expansion on an international level, this is reported by the railway transport news portal, Railway Supply.
The public transport company Go-Ahead Group has agreed to sell its railway business in Germany to ÖBB, allowing the Austrian railway company to enter the regional railway passenger business in the country.
Magyar Vagon has acquired 75% of the Hungarian state company MÁV Vagon
The agreement is expected to be completed by the end of the year, and Go-Ahead Verkehrsgesellschaft Deutschland (Go-Ahead Germany) will continue to operate as an independent company.
Founded in 2014, Go-Ahead Germany operates 144 EMU trains in the Stuttgart and Baden-Württemberg network, the Allgäu electronic network between Munich and Lindau, and the Augsburg to Munich, Würzburg, Allensbach, and Ulm routes in Bavaria.
