Each Nightjet train includes seven carriages and accommodates up to 254 passengers. The coaches offer seated areas, traditional compartments, capsule mini-compartments, and comfort-class cabins.

One coach features the driver’s cabin, while another provides a multifunctional zone for transporting luggage, bicycles, and strollers. This setup ensures convenience even for those with bulky items.

All cars are equipped with free Wi‑Fi, an entertainment portal for ordering food, and information displays. Passengers can also access power outlets, USB ports, and surveillance systems. Lighting is adjustable through personal touchscreens.

New Nightjet Routes and Ticket Prices

Sparschiene fares start at €34.9 for a seat. Four-person compartments and mini-capsules begin at €54.9. Comfort-class cabins are available from €99.9.

This pricing structure makes the service attractive for both tourists and business travelers. Nightjet trains provide high mobility without the added cost of overnight stays in hotels.

Nightjet Network Expansion Across Europe

Before the Amsterdam routes, next-gen Nightjet trains were introduced in December 2023 on the Vienna – Hamburg and Innsbruck – Hamburg lines. In September 2024, services expanded to include Vienna – Rome and Munich – Rome.

ÖBB continues to modernize its overnight train network, enhancing convenience and onboard technology. This strategy strengthens the company’s presence in the international passenger transport market.
