New Multimodal Route: Fast Container Delivery from India to Uzbekistan

Uztemiryulcontainer has launched a new multimodal route for container transportation from India to Uzbekistan, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
The new scheme includes transporting cargo from the Indian ports of Mundra, Nhava Sheva, and Chennai.

The journey begins by sea to the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas, then continues by rail through Iran and Turkmenistan to the Uzbek station of Sergeli.
The first freight train on this route carried 20 twenty-foot containers and covered a distance of 2,673 km in 20 days.
In the future, the delivery time is expected to be reduced to 15 days. This new route promises to enhance the efficiency and speed of container transportation between India and Uzbekistan, positively impacting logistics operations in the region.
