Investment and the Chennai production site

The Chennai project calls for manufacturing friction materials for braking systems, as well as door equipment components—doors and door drives for trains. Under the stated plan, the plant will produce 700 door drives and 1,000 door leaves for trains; it is also expected to create around 3.7 thousand jobs.

This is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Products for metro trains and future high-speed services

These solutions are intended for several types of rolling stock: metro trains, inter-regional passenger rolling stock, and future Indian high-speed trains. As a result, production of doors and braking materials for trains in India will target multiple market segments at once.
