NCC Limited has officially received the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Karnataka’s Rail Infrastructure Development Company (K-RIDE) for the design and construction of nine stations in the Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project (BSRP) Corridor 4, also known as the Kanaka Line. The Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project Overview

The Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project, specifically Corridor 4, spans 46.88 km between Heelalige and Rajanukunte, connecting 19 stations. However, Package C4B involves the development of only nine stations along this corridor.

Bidding Process and NCC’s Success

NCC’s bid, valued at Rs. 649.15 crore, was among the responses to K-RIDE’s invitation for bids with a base value of Rs. 528.05 crore. On September 9, 2024, K-RIDE opened technical bids, revealing that only NCC and RVNL–Rithwik JV had participated.

After reviewing the technical bids on February 18, 2025, K-RIDE rejected RVNL–Rithwik JV’s submission. Financial bids were then evaluated on April 25, 2025, and as NCC was the only remaining bidder, it was declared the lowest bidder for the contract.

Scope of Work for Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project

NCC’s role in this contract includes constructing nine stations within Corridor 4B. The work will involve civil construction, architectural finishes, and the installation of electrical and mechanical systems. The stations to be built include Channasandra, Horamavu, Hennur, Thanisandra, R. K. Hegdenagar, Jakkur, Yelahanka, Muddanahalli, and Rajankunte.

Other Notable Contracts for NCC in Bengaluru

In addition to the Package C4B contract, NCC also secured Package C2-A from K-RIDE in January 2025, valued at Rs. 501.25 crore. This package involves the construction of eight stations on Corridor 2, also known as the Mallige Line.

This expansion strengthens NCC’s involvement in the Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project, positioning the company as a key player in the city’s ongoing transportation development.
