At the control point Ludin (border crossing with Poland Izov-Grubieszow) the time of inspection of railway cars is reduced.

Wagon inspection time

This was told by representatives of Ukrzaliznytsia during a meeting on improving rail transportation with Poland, reports Railway Supply magazine.

At present, the experiment, introduced jointly with the Border Guard Service of Ukraine, is ongoing to reduce the time of car inspection. Instead of 4 minutes (as stipulated by the regulations), 2 minutes are spent on the car.

As Andriy Miroshnikov, head of the commercial work department of Ukrzaliznytsia JSC, noted, it is possible to reduce the time of inspection of empty wagons to 1 minute. He also noted that the issue is relevant for all border crossings, so it is necessary to review the existing technologies.

In addition, it is planned to carry out a parallel inspection of two trains.

According to officials, such measures will positively affect the turnover of locomotives.

As previously reported, UZ has limited cargo transportation to Poland.
