Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has awarded a contract of $15.5 million to build multimodal hubs for lines 4 & 4A to Dev Engineers–PRS Infra JV. This project aims to facilitate travel between metro services, buses, taxis, and non-motorized transport services.

Engineers will be designing walkways, parking places, and pick-up points that enhance passenger comfort and safety. Moreover, since Mumbai’s transport system expands every day, MMRDA is focused on designing for efficiency to serve thousands of passengers daily.

The authority’s Multimodal Integration (MMI) program strengthens “door-to-door” connectivity, encouraging commuters to shift from private to public transport. So, this project marks a milestone in building sustainable mobility across India’s largest metropolitan region.
