“Railway of Moldova” plans to resume the running of trains to Russia in transit through Ukraine. A corresponding letter was sent to the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development of Moldova, informs Railway Supply magazine with reference to NOI.md.

They asks to consider the possibility of opening an international passenger rail service between countries. Currently, only air and road transport links are carried out between the countries, but rail links are closed.

Considering the great demand, as well as the fact that preparations for the restart of railway routes may take at least three months, Chisinau hopes to receive an answer in the near future for planning summer transportation.
