Modernization of locomotives of the ТЕ116 series

LLC MLRP has carried out the modernization of locomotives of the ТE116 series

During the modernization of ТE116 series locomotives, specialists from LLC MLRP perform the following:

1. Installation of an engine produced by ABC (one section – 2652 kW, produced in Belgium).
2. Installation of a rotary-vane compressor of the AKL type (produced by LLC MLRP and MATTEI Italy) with electric drive (operating life of 100 motor hours).
3. Installation of a microprocessor control system.
4. Modernization of the high-voltage chamber and rectifier unit.
5. Installation of a video surveillance system (industrial design with a high degree of vandalism protection) along the track in both directions and inside the locomotive, with data archiving.
6. Installation of an air conditioner.
7. Installation of an electronic speedometer with a speed control system, pressure control in brake and feed mains, power with data archiving.
8. Installation of LED projectors, buffer lights, underbody lighting, cabin, and diesel compartment.
9. Installation of a household refrigerator, anti-vibration seats, microwave.
10. Overhaul of bogies, TED, wheelsets, and other equipment.
11. Extension of the locomotive’s service life to 15 years.

The duration of the modernization works for ТE116 series locomotives is 210 calendar days. The warranty for the modernized equipment is 18 months from the date of signing the certificate of completed work.
