MIU expects to receive UAH 17.4 billion from the transfer of railway stations to concession

The Ministry of Infrastructure released its 2021 report. In particular, the MIU summed up the results of the work on the transfer of railway stations to the concession.

So, the stations of the cities Kharkiv, Dnipro, Vinnytsia, Khmelnitsky, Nikolaev, Chop and Kyiv have been identified as pilot stations for the study, reports Railway Supply magazine.
To date, the audit and consulting company Ernst & Young and the law firm AGREKA have already completed a preliminary feasibility study. It is noted that the expected concession payment from the concession of these stations is UAH 60.18 million.
The total amount of revenues to the budget of different levels (state and local budgets) is UAH 17.4 billion. At the same time, the MIU is considering the possibility of including Lviv and Odessa stations in the pilot project of the concession of the railway station.
At the same time, a concept note has already been developed for the project for the concession of the Kyiv-Passenger and Vinnitsa stations.
The Ministry should send it to the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Finance for a detailed analysis.
