The updated restrictions target Russia’s military-industrial complex procurement system, foreign entities facilitating the acquisition of machinery, equipment, and key materials, along with restricting access to international finances.
Notably, entities like “Tvema,” “Sibelectroprivod,” and “NPO Electromashina” have been included, focusing on equipment for diagnosing infrastructure, manufacturing traction units and engines for locomotives and electric trains, and producing motors for trams, respectively.
The list also encompasses several entities of the “European Bearing Corporation” (EBC), including the holding company and the “EBC-Saratov” plant, manufacturing bearings for wagons with an axial load of 23.5 tons. Additionally, Vologda Bearing Plant, producing bearings for railway transport, has been added.
Among individuals, Alexander Potapov, CEO of the “Uralvagonzavod” conglomerate specializing in freight wagons, is now included.
Previously, the U.S. sanctioned “Transmashholding,” including its subsidiary “Metrovagonmash,” and several other enterprises like “Uralvagonzavod,” “Uraltransmash,” Tikhoretsk Machine-Building Plant, “Muromteplovoz,” and “United Metallurgical Company.”
