Metrolinx Improves Access and Transit Features

Metrolinx also improved access for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers. A redesigned drop-off area was moved closer to trains and buses for faster connections and smoother transfers.

Sidewalks were added along Dissette and Bridge Streets. A signalized entrance on Dissette Street now improves traffic flow and ensures safer pedestrian crossings near the station.

Newly resurfaced parking lots, added walkways, and better lighting increase convenience and safety. For cyclists, the station offers a secure bike room, covered shelter, and extra racks.

Metrolinx Expands Safety and Infrastructure Investments

To support long-term performance, the project introduced advanced stormwater systems and broader CCTV coverage. These features help maintain operational reliability and passenger security.

The Bradford GO upgrades are part of the broader GO Expansion programme. With $12 billion CAD (approximately $8.7 billion USD) invested, the plan includes new stations, added tracks, and more frequent service.

Through investments like this, Metrolinx strengthens its commitment to a seamless, accessible, and sustainable public transit network across Ontario’s growing regions.
