Belgrade Metro: Designing the Third Line and New Stations

A Chinese company will design the third line of the Belgrade Metro. The project includes 22 stations, significantly improving the city’s transportation network. This was reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The Belgrade Metro has signed a contract with a consortium led by CRDC. The total contract value is $20 million.

The project involves the American engineering firm WSP Louis Berger, the Serbian design company Ko Dizajn Belgrade, and local subcontractors.
What Changes Await the Belgrade Metro?
The city operator has signed an agreement with PowerChina, which is responsible for constructing the third line. The French company Alstom will supply trains and signaling systems.
PowerChina is already working on building the first and second metro lines. The project is being implemented with the participation of international and Serbian companies.
The launch of the third line will make travel across the city more convenient. The new metro line will connect key districts and ease traffic congestion.
