The project forms part of Phase 4, and it adds 65 kilometers to the metro network. Thus, JICA’s support enables construction of 47 kilometers and 39 new stations.

Currently, the Delhi Metro spans 395 kilometers, and it serves millions of people daily. Nine lines operate now, while a tenth will launch in 2026 for passenger convenience.
