Metinvest builds logistics through European ports
07.05.2022
The Metinvest group of companies is transforming approaches to production and creating new logistics schemes to support the Ukrainian economy.
Railway Supply magazine reports about this citing Yuri Ryzhenkov, General Director of the group.
According to the official, the company’s Kryvyi Rig enterprises are currently operating at about 40%. The main constraining factors are logistics and sales markets.
“What we can deliver to our consumers in Europe, we, of course, produce and supply. However, it is very important for us today that the Black Sea ports of Ukraine — Yuzhny, TIS — are unblocked,” explained the CEO of Metinvest Group.
He also spoke about the fact that now the company is resolving issues of deliveries by sea.
“There are first attempts to build logistics through the ports of the Baltic and Romania. In April, we are already loading the ship in Constanta and Swinoujscie, and in the future we will try to develop this. I hope we will be able to resolve these issues, then the company will be able to load Kryvyi Rig enterprises at 100%,” Yuriy Ryzhenkov stressed.
As previously reported, in March Yuzhny GOK continued to ship products by rail to Europe.
