Maritime Group, known for its capabilities in road and rail transport, operates a powerful fleet that includes 1,600 container trucks.

More than 30 trains serve the company’s 41 terminals daily, connecting key UK ports.

Maritime Group also specializes in cargo storage and delivery, providing a full logistics cycle for its clients.

In 2024, it took over the country’s largest logistics hub, the Strategic Rail Freight Interchange, located in the East Midlands, which boasts extensive rail and warehouse infrastructure.

This facility is strategically important for the transportation of goods across the UK.

The acquisition of Maritime Group underscores MSC’s commitment to strengthen its presence not only in maritime but also in land transport, creating more integrated logistics solutions for its clients.

It is important to note that the terminals, which came under MEDLOG’s control, will continue to operate under the Maritime brand, preserving customer recognition and trust in these services.

According to the analytical agency Alphaliner, MSC already controls 20% of the world’s container fleet, and the acquisition of Maritime Group will significantly enhance their combined logistics capabilities.
