Lithuanian Railways (LTG) aims for full integration with Europe, mobilizing railway companies in the Baltic region, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Implementation of the FREE Rail program

During a meeting with representatives of Latvian Railway company LDZ Cargo and Estonian Railway company Operail, goals of LTG’s initiated FREE Rail program and collaboration possibilities were outlined.

EP Logistics International (EPLI) completed the acquisition of SGL- Schienen Güter Logistik GmbH on October 31, 2023

The FREE Rail program will establish an adapted railway management model for the Baltic countries, based on EU railway standards and best practices.

This will enable complete integration of business relations, technologies, and IT with Europe, opening up more opportunities for both businesses and citizens.
